About Course

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started after the inception of NCET in the year 2001. The department offers an undergraduate program that focuses on enhancing technical and generic competencies as well as the skills required by the graduates to face the challenges of technological advancements and be agile learners.

The UG students are encouraged to take up competitive exams to pursue studies and to do research in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering. To enhance their soft skills, students are provided with special training from year 3 onwards, which increases the chances of placements in reputed companies like Continental Automotive, Mahindra Electric, TECH Mahindra, HP, Infosys, TCS, IBM, Mindtree, and DXC Technologies, Cognizant are few to name.

  • The department has an MOU with Texas Instruments & National Instruments to support students with the latest industrial technologies and equipment.
  • The department has a permanent affiliation with VTU & is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
  • The department is recognized as a research center with a research grant from VTU to conduct research in cutting-edge technologies.
