I welcome you on the behalf of CSE-Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department, NCET, Bengaluru. We are a small family today and growing at a rapid pace. The faculty’s expertise in various fields and the variety of students from multiple states of India make the department as a place for quality teaching and research. The department provides state of the art lab facilities to the students and faculties. We currently encourage research on areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Security, Computer Vision and other Inter-disciplinary fields.

In Computer Science and Engineering (AIML) department, we continuously monitor the students by assigning separate mentors and motivate them to participate in the national level competitions. We provide support to publish their papers in reputed conferences and journals. We guided the students with the motto of ‘dream offer’ placements and counselled them for their company start-up. As the head of department, I gladly invite students and faculties to look forward AIML Department and NCET as a destination for employability skill development, high end research and teaching in India.

COURSE

TThe department of Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) of the Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology provides Bachelor’s Degree programs. The department polishes the skills of the students in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning field. NCET provides one of the best faculties for students pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The faculty here focuses on inculcating their students with ethics and qualities like leadership, teamwork, and many more. At Computer Science and Engineering(AIML), the faculty also aims at providing experience and exposure, and research opportunities. This is done through various collaborations of the faculty and the students on different projects. The department of Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) of the NCET College provides placements to the students in leading companies in their respective fields.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

PO-1: Engineering knowledge:Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) principles to the solution of complex problems in CSE(AIML).
PO-2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, and engineering sciences.
PO-3: Design solutions for complex Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal,
PO-4: Conduct investigations of complex problems:Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions related to Computer Science and Engineering(AIML).
PO-5: Modern tool usage:Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOME (PSOs)

PSO-1:Graduate will be able to identify, analyze & solve the problems related to Computer Science and Engineering(AIML) by applying the fundamental knowledge of Computer Science.
PSO-2:Graduate will demonstrate an ability to investigate, design and develop software using significant knowledge of modern tools in Computer Science and Engineering(AIML)
PSO-3:Graduate will be able to apply their knowledge to assess societal, environmental, health, safety issues with professional ethics and can also pursue higher studies, involve in research activities, be employable or entrepreneur.

FACILITIES

The institution has always kept its target of providing Student-to-computer ratio of 1:1 during their laboratory exercises.
The Department is well equipped with the latest computers with modern multimedia features and Licensed software. Computer Labs have been loaded with Microsoft Windows 10 and Ubuntu Operating System. All the labs are connected with 100MBPS high-speed internet service. The lab is used to train the students to improve their programming knowledge and make experiments to get familiar with the Core Courses. This lab helps placement cell to conduct online test and Placement training for students during placement drive.

    About NCET Alumni Association

    One of the assessments for the quality of an institution is the success of its alumni. Active alumni also mean that the institution is developing strong roots in society. It’s a platform where successful alumni from all walks of life meet each other and express openly their thanks and gratitude for the opportunities provided to them by the alma mater.

    The seeds for the transformation are sown during the students’ stay at NCET. In carrying out job and civic responsibilities, alumni draw on what they learned in earning a college degree. They demonstrate for all to see what value their education has for them and they truly represent the institution in different walks of their life.

    The NCET Alumni association can make a vital contribution by supporting the Institute in the accomplishment of its mission. They can contribute as goodwill ambassadors, student recruiters, and a pool of expertise in a broad range of fields which can be employed in Institute initiatives, both academic and administrative. The NCET Alumni Association is an excellent forum to keep in touch with your alma mater, learn how your institution is achieving its strategic intent, and above all reinforce the relationship you formed during your stay at college while forming new ones.

    Objectives of the Alumni Association:

    1.To arrange expert lectures by eminent alumni & other prominent industrialists for the benefit of students.

    2.To conduct Alumni-Students Knowledge Exchange Programs.

    3.To bring together the ex-students of NCET and to promote fellowship amongst them and their families.

    4.To serve as a forum to promote and foster relationship among the alumni, the present students, the staff and the management of NCET.

    5.To maintain continuous interaction between the past and present students by publishing a newsletter, holding periodical Alumni day celebration or by any other activity as decided by the association.

    6.To effectively participate in revision of syllabi and development of curriculum.
